Cathy Adams

Cathy Adams is a professor in the Department of Secondary Education and Vargo Teaching Chair at the University of Alberta. Dr. Adams’ phenomenological research program addresses digital technology integration across K-12 and post-secondary educational environments, with a focus on ethical, pedagogical and sociocultural issues. Ten years ago, she established a BEd(Computing Science) major and minor at the University of Alberta. Most recently, she has been involved in the Callysto CanCode project, and is currently working with Alberta Education to integrate computational thinking across the new K-12 provincial curriculum.
